Fencing New Zealand Membership

All new fencers are required to register with the FeNZ registration portal once they have committed to attend fencing classes or training. There is no cost to register.

New fencers will have three months free before they must upgrade their registration to another category e.g club/school or general.

 

To sign up, pick the region fencing region you live in from the list below. Use the map to check your region. 

  • This will sign you up with both Fencing New Zealand and your region.

  • If you want to compete in competitions you need a membership type that lets you compete in competitions.

  • Contact your region if you have any questions. Their contact details are on the signup form.

Fencing Memberships:

Fencing North - New Member

Free

All new fencers are required to register with the FeNZ registration portal once they have committed to attend fencing classes or training.

This is a free trial membership, which is valid for three months. If you are still fencing after this time, you may upgrade to annual membership (e.g. school, club or full membership). A trial membership does not allow entry in competitions, but does provide coverage under FeNZ liability insurance.

A new fencer is one who has not been affiliated with either Fencing New Zealand or an overseas fencing organisation in the previous two years.

 

Fencing North - Competitive Full Member

Fencing New Zealand requires that all fencers must be affiliated. This is a membership for fencers who want to enter competitions or go to training camps. As well as entrance to competitions you will get a national ranking when you compete at competitions. 

This membership is valid for the calendar year within which it is purchased.

Fencing North - Associate Member

$20.00

This membership level is for non-fencers who want to be members and support our organisation. Funds received from this membership go towards development of the quality of resources available for fencers.

This membership is valid for the calendar year within which it is purchased.

Fencing North - Junior, School and Club Member

Free

Fencing New Zealand requires all fencers to affiliate. 

This membership is for school-aged fencers who prefer to fence within their school or club. Junior School/Club members are covered under FeNZ liability insurance and are allowed to compete in one competition per year. This competition should be an individual, regional, non-championship event over a single day; if you are unsure whether you can enter a competition please contact your regional executive.

This membership is valid for the calendar year within which it is purchased.

Fencing North - Senior, Club Member

Free

This membership is for adult fencers who prefer to fence within their club. Senior Club members are covered under FeNZ liability insurance and are allowed to compete in one competition per year. This competition should be an individual, regional, non-championship event over a single day; if you are unsure whether you can enter a competition please contact your regional executive.

This membership is valid for the calendar year within which it is purchased.

Fencing Central - New Member

Free

Fencing New Zealand requires that all fencers must be affiliated. This is a membership for fencers over 18 and not enrolled in tertiary courses who want to enter competitions or go to training camps. As well as entrance to competitions you will get a national ranking when you compete at competitions. 

This membership is valid for the calendar year within which it is purchased.

Fencing Central - Competitive Under 18s & Tertiary Students

Fencing New Zealand requires that all fencers must be affiliated. This is a membership for Under 18s and Tertiary students who want to enter competitions or go to training camps. As well as entrance to competitions you will get a national ranking when you compete at competitions.

Fencing Central - Associate Member
